Miss World Philippines Ifugao Valerie Pawid West Inspires at Mayoyao Sangguniang Bayan Session

The 9th Regular Session of the Sangguniang Bayan of Mayoyao became a momentous occasion as it welcomed two distinguished guests who embody the spirit of Ifugao youth leadership and cultural pride.

Leading the spotlight was Miss World Philippines – Ifugao, Ms. Valerie Pawid West, whose presence brought grace and purpose to the session. Known for her advocacy in community development, cultural preservation, and youth empowerment, Ms. West shared her heartfelt mission to uplift her fellow Ifugaos. Her message resonated with the council and attendees, reinforcing the role of pageantry as a platform for social impact.


Joining her was Mr. Jeremy Dulnuan of Kiangan, the proud 1st Runner-Up of Mr. Gotad ad Ifugao 2025. His courtesy visit to the Sangguniang Bayan highlighted the growing visibility of male pageantry in promoting Ifugao heritage and leadership. Both guests were warmly congratulated by the SB members, who expressed full support for their future endeavors.

While the session celebrated cultural icons, it remained focused on governance. The Sangguniang Bayan of Mayoyao approved 10 meaningful resolutions aimed at enhancing public services, education, and community welfare. These legislative actions reflect the council’s commitment to responsive and inclusive governance in Ifugao.

The session concluded at 4:30 PM, leaving behind not just policy outcomes but a renewed sense of pride and unity among Mayoyao’s leaders and constituents.
